The company Neumeyer CR, spol. s r.o. was established in April 1993 as a joint venture of the German company Neumeyer Fliespressen GmbH and the Czech company Teplárny Brno a.s. Neumeyer moved part of its cold press production to the Czech Republic. Teplárny Brno provided a building with three halls for the joint venture.

In the following years, production gradually increased and the turnover reached CZK 400m per year.
In 1997, the company Neumeyer was acquired by MascoTech and the plant in the Czech Republic became a sister plant in relation to the plant in Germany.

In 2001, the fourth hall was constructed serving for expansion of the heat treatment and surface treatment lines. In the same year, the company became part of the American entity Metaldyne. The change of ownership meant assuming the new identity of Metaldyne Oslavany, spol. s.r.o

In 2002, two more production halls were added to accommodate expansion in machining. Since 2003, the company has been regularly increasing its year-on-year sales at 20-30%, with the 2006 revenues touching an impressive CZK 940 million. Growth in revenue meant proportional increase in the number of employees and by 2007 the company had in excess of 250 employees, and rising.

In early 2012, Metaldyne Oslavany purchased the production facility in Zbysov u Brna and had it reconstructed. The purpose of this investment was to create space suitable for a machining shop and to free up production facilities in Oslavany to make room for the planned transition (especially the presses) to the Czech Republic.

The site of the former company Kepák received a brand new facelift. After the reconstruction, Metaldyne has created a modern high-tech workplace and jobs for many more employees. The machining shop in Zbýšov includes 40 machining centres (CNC, NC) and control stations.
